Biography of Chaplain R S McClelland
Robert Scott McClelland graduated from the University of Glasgow MA in 1912 and BD in 1916.
Born on the 9th December 1890, Robert was the second son of Robert McClelland, minister of Inchinnan.
He served as an ordained chaplain to the Forces from September 1917. A Reverend Captain of the Royal Chaplains' Department, he was awarded the Victory and British medal for his service.
After the First World War, he was an assistant at St Cuthbert's Church, Edinburgh. He later became the ordained minister at Dollar.
He died in Glasgow in 1931.
