Biography of Lieutenant John MacDougall Hepburn

Lieutenant John MacDougall Hepburn was a member of the University of Glasgow Officers’ Training Corps.

During the First World War he served as a Reserve Second Lieutenant with the 14th Royal Scots Regiment, arriving in France in November 1916. He was wounded in September 1918 and invalided out of service.

He was awarded the Victory Medal, the Star Medal, and the Silver War Badge.

After the war John remained in France, living in the Paris area until his death in the 1980s.
