Precision Medicine (Regius Chair)
Description
The Regius Chair of Precision Medicine was founded in 2016 as part of the 90th birthday celebrations for the Queen. The Court minutes of June 2016 state that it was awarded to honour an area of excellence for the University. Aims of this branch of science include developing tailor made treatment for patients which enable safer, more cost-effective outcomes. In partnership with NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde, the university works to translate this innovative research into real patient benefit for institutions like The Queen Elizabeth University Hospital. The Chair was developed to celebrate and provide leadership to this pioneering programme.
