Gaelic

Description

The Chair of Gaelic was founded on 1 April 2010 by Resolution 625 to recognise the University as a centre of excellence for the study of Celtic and Gaelic, as well as the University's commitment to supporting and enhancing the cultural life of Scotland. The creation of this new chair consolidates Glasgow's status as the major urban home of Gaelic education and research.
