Description

The Chair of Divinity and Biblical Criticism was founded in 1861. The patron was originally the Crown, but in 1935 it became the University Court, acting on the recommendation of a Board of Nomination constituted of representatives of the Court and of the General Assembly of the Church of Scotland.
