Description

The Chair of Christian Ethics and Practical Theology was founded in 1939 by the University Court on the recommendation of the General Assembly of the Church of Scotland, and it was taken by Arthur John Gossip, Professor of Christian Ethics and Practical Theology at Trinity College. The new chair was suppressed on Gossip's retirement in 1945.
