Italian (Stevenson Chair)
Description
The Stevenson Chair of Italian was founded in 1924 and endowed by the gift of Sir Daniel Macauley Stevenson (1851-1944), the businessman, philanthropist and administrator who became Chancellor of the University, 1934-1944.
The Stevenson Professor of Italian is appointed for a term of five years and is eligible for reappointment.
