Applied Economics (Alec Cairncross Chair)


The Alec Cairncross Chair of Applied Economics was named for Sir Alec Cairncross (1911-1998), who was a student and a Professor at the University, and was Chancellor from 1972 to 1996. The Chair had been founded in 1949 and was named for Sir Alec in 2004.
