WP Ker Lectureship

The WP Ker Lectureship was founded in 1938 by the bequest of John Brown Douglas, a University graduate and Glasgow lawyer, in memory of William Paton Ker, a Snell Exhibitioner who became Professor of English Literature in the University of London and Professor of Poetry in the University of Oxford. The foundation originally provided for an annual lecture on some branch of literary or linguistic studies.
