Biography of Samuel Archibald Wallace

Samuel Archibald Wallace graduated from the University of Glasgow with a BSc in Engineering in 1932. He was born on 28th May 1909 in Wigtownshire and was the son of James Wallace, a farmer, and Jessie Wallace.

Samuel studied subjects including Higher Mathematics, Engineering Drawing and General Engineering while attending the university between 1928-1932.

The General Council Registers record Samuel’s occupation as an Electrical Engineer shortly after graduation.

Samuel served with the Royal Air Force in the Second World War. He died on 28th December 1945 at the age of 36. You can see Samuel's Commonwealth War Graves entry here.
