John Macfarlane
Biography of John Macfarlane
John Macfarlane (d 1869) was a graduate of the University who was Regius Professor of Practice of Medicine from 1852 until he retired in 1862.
Macfarlane graduated from the University MD in 1824 and was a surgeon at Glasgow Royal Infirmary in 1826-27, 1831-32 and 1835-36. His brothers and sister founded a medical bursary which bears his name.
