Alexander Moody Stuart

Alexander Moody Stuart (1844-1915) was Regius Professor of Law at the University from 1887 to 1905. He was Dean of the Faculty of Law, 1896 to 1899, and he awarded an LLD in 1907.

Born in Edinburgh, the son of a prominent Free Church minister, Stuart was a graduate of the University of Edinburgh who became an advocate.
