Biography of Hugh Macleod

Hugh MacLeod (1730-1809) was Professor of Ecclesiastical History from 1778 until his death in 1809. He was elected Clerk of Senate in 1781.

MacLeod was a graduate of King's College, Aberdeen (MA, 1755 and DD, 1780) and was librarian there from 1756 to 1759. In 1796, thirteen years before MacLeod's death, William McTurk was appointed his assistant and successor to the Chair at Glasgow.
