Biography of John Shaw

John C Shaw was Johnstone Smith Professor of Accountancy from 1977 to 1983.

Born in Perth, Shaw graduated BL from the University of Edinburgh in 1953. He became a chartered accountant and, in 1966, a partner in Deloitte & Co. Before coming to Glasgow, he lectured part-time in Accountancy at the University of Edinburgh and at Heriot-Watt University.
