Richard Harris
Biography of Richard Harris
Professor Richard Harris joined the University in October 2004 to take up the Alec Cairncross Chair of Applied Economics and become Director of the Centre for Public Policy for Regions.
He previously held positions at the Universities of Newcastle upon Tyne, Durham and Portsmouth in the UK and Waikato in New Zealand. He holds degrees from the Universities of Belfast, Lancaster and Kent and was co-editor of Regional Studies journal.
Prof. Harris left the University of Glasgow in September 2012 to take up the posts of Deputy Dean (Research) and Professor of Economics in the Business School at Durham University.
