Biography of Archibald Davidson
Archibald Davidson (d 1803) was a graduate of the University and Principal from 1785 to 1803.
Davidson graduated MA in 1752 and DD in 1786. He was a minister at Paisley and then Inchinnan before becoming Principal and he was Moderator of the General Assembly of the Church of Scotland in 1788. His son, Robert, was Professor of Law at the University from 1801 to 1842.
