Herman Schippers
Biography of Herman Schippers
Herman Schippers was born in Rotterdam and studied Applied Chemistry at the University, graduating BSc (with First Class Honours) in 1941. He served in the Royal Netherlands Forces during the war.
Schippers died on 3 May 1942 when his ship SS Laertes was torpedoed off the coast of Cape Canaveral by the German submarine U-109.
