William Wilson Tennant
Biography of William Wilson Tennant
Surgeon Lieutenant William Wilson Tennant was born in High Blantyre and graduated MB, ChB from the University in 1940. During the war he served in the Royal Navy aboard the minesweeper HMS Leda.
Tennant was killed on 20 September 1942 when his ship was torpedoed and sunk by a German U-Boat in the Barents Sea.
