Biography of Thomas Kane
Thomas Kane was born in Glasgow and graduated MB, ChB from the University in 1939. During the war he served in the Merchant Navy as a surgeon.
Kane was killed on 19 October 1940 when his ship, SS Sulaco, was torpedoed and sunk by a German U-Boat while sailing in a convoy in the Atlantic.
