Biography of Thomas Charles Bell
Sub-Lieutenant Thomas Charles Bell of the RNVR attended St Mungo's Academy and studied Engineering at the University, 1940 to 1942. He joined the Fleet Air Arm and became a Barracuda torpedo-bomber pilot. On 3 April 1944 he flew from HMS Furious to attack the German battlecruiser Tirpitz in Altafjord, and was killed in the action.
