Description

The Chair of Scottish History and Literature was founded in 1913 and endowed by a grant from the receipts of the Scottish Exhibition of National History, Art and Industry, held in Kelvingrove Park in 1911. Over 9.3 million people visited the exhibits during the summer and autumn of that year.
