Arthritis and Rheumatism Council

Description

The Arthritis and Rheumatism Council was founded in 1936 and is now known as the Arthritis Research Campaign. It raises funds to promote medical research into the cause, treatment and cure of arthritic conditions; to educate medical students, doctors and allied healthcare professionals about arthritis; and provide information to the general public.

In 1990 the McLeod/Arthritis and Rheumatism Council Chair of Rheumatology was founded with a benefaction from the Arthritis and Rheumatism Council and private individuals including Allan McLeod.
