Ferguson Bequest

List of Awards

Professor Thomas Ferguson bequeathed his estate to the University in 1977, with the instruction that the money be used to foster the social side of University life. The University Court established a committee (the Ferguson Bequest Committee) to administer the funds and agreed that the use of the money should not be restricted to the benefit of academic staff. A number of corporate membership schemes have been taken out by the University, and they are administered centrally by the Court Office.
