James Wright Neill

Lieutenant James Wright Neill of the RNVR was born in Bellshill and studied in the Arts Faculty at the University from 1928 to 1933.

Neill served aboard the minesweeper HMT Cap D'Antifer, formerly a a Belgian-owned trawler, during the war. He was killed on 13 February 1944 when she was torpedoed by a German E-Boat off the Humber.
