Robert Pattison

Robert Pattison was born on 17th June 1872 in Elgin, Morayshire. His parents were Robert and Isabella Pattison. His father was an engineer and retired teacher. Pattison also had two sisters, who resided at 65 Pollock Road, Shawlands, Glasgow. Pattison attended Hutchesons Grammar School.
Pattison graduated with an M.A. in 1894, and studied English Literature. He resided at 5 Milton Terrace, Langside, Glasgow, and 14 Millbrae Crescent, Langside, Glasgow during his time at Glasgow University.
Prior to his career in the military, Pattison was Managing Clerk to Thomas Dykes of 113 West Regent Street.
Pattison was Lieutenant and Temporary Captain of the 10th London Regiment. He was killed in action in Belgium on the 27th of December 1917, with his sisters receiving intimation of his death. He is remembered with honour at Tyne Cot Memorial.
