Biography of Bartholomew McGettrick
Bartholomew (known as Bart) McGettrick was Professor of Education and the first Dean of the Faculty of Education.
McGettrick was Principal of St Andrew's College of Education from 1985 until the merger of the College with the University in 1999. He became Dean of the newly created Faculty of Education and was appointed to a personal professorship of Education in 1999. He left the University in November 2005 to become Professor of Educational Development at Liverpool Hope University.
