The students who have embarked upon courses of study at the University of Glasgow have contributed immeasurably to its story. Over the past 550 years, students have come from all across the world to learn and undertake research here. During their studies, our students form the heart of the University community, engaging with new people and new ideas and contributing to University life. Following their studies, our alumni take the University's name as they go out and make their mark in their chosen fields. Our alumni's talents have been recognised in many areas including sport, law, medicine, engineering, politics and the arts.
As Chancellor it is with great pleasure that I introduce this section of the University of Glasgow Story dedicated to the University's alumni.
